Juniper berries come from the Juniper evergreen tree, which grows primarily in areas of Europe. The berries of this tree are well-known medicinal components that may help treat several conditions. As a natural diuretic, juniper berries promote urination to effectively flush out accumulated toxins and microorganisms detrimental to the region. Western folk medicine often employed juniper berries to relieve indigestion, flatulence, heartburn and upset stomach.
