anti-bite against sandfly and mosquito

How to protect yourself from sandflies and mosquitos

If you’re planning a holiday, or you live in areas where sandflies are prolific, such as near bushes, beaches, lakes, rivers and swamps, it can be wise to consider a natural deterrent ahead of time to help build resistance in your body to insect bites and the severity of them.

A number of nutrients are indicated to be helpful in creating a natural defence for some insect bites, when building up in your body over time. Pro-life’s Anti-Bite contains an effective combination of these natural ingredients to assist with physical defence and effects from pesky sandflies landing on you (or desiring to land on you), and support healing from uncomfortable skin puncturing impacts.

Anti-Bite’s researched blend of Thiamine HCl (Vitamin B1), Odourless Garlic and Quercetin taken before your holiday, adventure, or sandfly season, can help curb the stampede of marauding insect invaders intent on accessing your skin and blood.

Let’s face it, some of us are more prone to insect bites than others. It’s not fully understood why, but numerous articles indicate Vitamin B1 could help with this. The fact that Vitamin B1 is secreted by the skin may certainly be significant, though. It’s been shown that when taken in large doses, Vitamin B1 may produce a skin odour that is not detectable by humans, but which may cause insects to take a wide-berth fly-by and high-tail it away from your body.

As Vitamin B1 is water soluble and cannot be stored by the body, it must be consumed every day to build up and sustained at sufficient levels. Whilst products such as yeast extracts (ie. marmite) contain the richest source of thiamine (B1), you would need to consume over 200 gram daily in order to get the effect. Ingesting high amount of yeast extract is not advisable due to the harmfully high level of salt (or sodium). Therefore, supplemental form is the most viable option.

Garlic has long been touted as a natural insect repellent. However, eating garlic is just as likely to repel your fellow humans. Odourless garlic supplementation is believed to help repel insects by emitting sulphur compounds through the skin.

Quercetin is a plant pigment with abundant antioxidant properties. The inclusion of Quercetin in Anti-Bite helps protect the body against free radical damage, potentially helping support cell health and human health.

Taken together, this specially-designed formula of Vitamin B1, Quercetin and Odourless Garlic could just be the combination you might need. If insect bites and commercial repellents (that often stink and/or irritate the skin) are not your thing, Anti-Bite may be a great alternative option.
